RFQ Responsibility Statement for Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center Replacement, Mountain View, CA

Demo and New Construction: Design-build Prequalification for construction of the Rengstorff Park Aquatics Center Replacement. The work is exclusively within Rengstorff Park, located at 201 South Rengstorff Avenue in Mountain View, Santa Clara County, The proposed project includes demolition of the existing building, pools and site improvements, and construction of a replacement facility designed to become a year-round aquatics center for the City of Mountain View. The new aquatics center will include an approximately 8,200 square foot aquatics center building, new lap and leisure pools, new pool deck, perimeter fencing, and associated site improvements. The existing parking lot will be revised to add a vehicle drop-off circle, provisions for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and will also be restriped to improve efficiency. The project will have a design-build roof-mounted solar photovoltaic & solar thermal water heating system. This project is also being designed to meet the latest Mountain View Green Building codes and will obtain LEED Gold® certification per City policy. Other specific improvements include, but are not limited to, installation of pool heating and water-treatment equipment; new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and low-voltage systems; new fire sprinkler system; new finishes; site utilities; parking layout improvements; landscaping; and irrigation.
