Description

The County of Mercer requests bids for replacement of County Bridge #180.1 carrying an Abandoned Railroad Trail over Parkside Avenue in the City of Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey. The work to be performed under this contract includes: Demolition and removal of existing Bridge #180.1, construction of replacement Bridge #180.1 with a single span structure supported on full height abutments with curved wingwalls. The superstructure will consist of precast prestressed concrete beams with a composite cast-in-place steel reinforced concrete deck. The substructures will be cast-in-place abutments and curved wingwalls founded on cast-in-place concrete footings. The proposed cross section will consist of 20-foot clear walkway and two (2) 5-foot fenced berm areas, the beams, parapets, abutments and wingwalls have been designed with the architecture style to match the existing structure, a structure mounted chain-link fence is to be installed on the top of the deck, the removal of the existing pavement (asphalt), full depth HMA pavement reconstruction as well as new striping, drainage reconstruction, concrete and curb sidewalk reconstruction, and excavation. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
