Paw Paw Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks & Miscellaneous Clarifier Improvements, Denison, TX

The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, modifications or additions to the following existing facilities: a. Repair Duck Creek Surge Control Box concrete walls and related appurtenances at the headworks. The CONTRACTOR shall provide diversion pumping upstream of and flow isolation downstream of the Duck Creek Surge Control Box repairs for the entire duration of the repairs. b. Construction of a new above-grade, concrete secondary clarifier splitter box and related pumps, piping and appurtenances. c. Conversion of Primary Clarifier No. 2 into Secondary Clarifier No. 3 and related piping d. Construction of a new return activated sludge pump station and related pumps, piping, and appurtenances. e. Inspection and cleaning of existing 20/HWE/DIP line from Headworks to Primary Clarifier No.1 and associated earthwork and pipe modifications required to gain access for inspection and cleaning. 2. Testing of all systems to ensure performance in accordance with manufacturer’s design and as specified herein; perform necessary adjustment as required, reporting proper functioning to ENGINEER; and all required plant start-up services in accordance with Section 01 75 25 “Equipment Testing and Start-up”. 3. Unless otherwise specified, Contractor shall provide the following: a. Temporary facilities and controls as specified in Section 01 50 00 “Temporary Facilities and Controls”. b. Provide quality control, material testing, field-testing, and related services in accordance with Section 01 40 00 “Quality Requirements”. c. Provide training of OWNER’S operation and maintenance personnel in accordance with Section 01 79 00 “Demonstration and Training”. d. Field surveying required for support of construction operations. e. Applicable permits, licenses and jurisdictional inspections, certificate of occupancy, and related work as necessary for Owner to assume operation of facility.
