N Street Outfall Improvement, Port Angeles, WA

This project is an upgrade to a historical stormwater outfall currently discharging at the top of a 100 ft. marine bluff. The base bid essentially consists of depositing several thousand tons of spalls into the gully below the outfall to buttress the sidewalls and provide a 1.5H:1V support slope, install a new Type II structure and anchor at the top of the bluff, tight-lining the existing outfall down into the ravine and towards the toe of the bluff with butt fused HDPE pipe, and installing an engineered diffuser / dispersion tee at terminal end. An additive bid is also included to improve the stormwater system in “N” St., which consists of installing and connecting-in two new catch basin inlets and upgrading the storm main between 6th and 4th St. with new 24” HDPE pipe.
