Description

The approximate extent and character of the Work is generally described as follows: Replacement of seven existing 8-inch and/or 12-inch saddle blow-offs on 48-inch and/or 42-inch water main with 48-inch or 42-inch x 12-inch or 8-inch Tees and 12-inch or 8-inch blow-offs; removal of one 8-inch saddle blow-off, replacement of two 42-inch butterfly valves with 42-inch gate valves, replacement of one 6-inch A/V valve assembly and replacement of two 12-inch outlets to the Cobb County Water System. Only those contractors that are pre-qualified with the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority to construct ductile iron water mains of 36-inch and larger diameter (Categories 2, 3, and 4) at the time of the first publication of this notice will be allowed to bid this project. Bonds required.
