Water Main Construction at Mile Long Bridge, Willow Springs, IL

The work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to: Water main and fire hydrant construction; Pavement removal and pavement patching; guardrail removal and replacement; Maintenance of traffic during construction; Temporary erosion and sediment control; Landscaping; Utility protection;, and all other appurtenant and miscellaneous construction shown on the Plans and as required by the Standard Specifications and the Special Provisions. This contract is subject to the Small Business Initiative and the Small Business Set-Aside Program (SBSP). Small Business Initiative as defined by the Special Provision and SBSP as defined under Section 45-45 of the Illinois Procurement Code (30 ILCS 500/45-45). Only those bidders registered in the Illinois Procurement Gateway (IPG) who qualify as a small business under the Provision/Code may bid on this contract. For purposes of this contract, a small business is defined as a business that is independently owned and operated, is not dominant in its field of operation, and meets the required size status and sales limitations. This contract includes a specific DBE utilization goal of 33% for Core Work. This contract includes a specific Veteran Small Business participation goal of 3% based on the availability of CMS certified VOSB/SDVOSB vendors to perform or provide the anticipated services and/or supplies required by this solicitation.
