Description
Major work activities for Phase III include excavation of approximately
436,835 cubic yards of material to be hauled off-site and excavation of 65,420 cubic yards of material for on-site fill for the creation of the high bank of berm, placement along the proposed geomorphic channel as topsoil, and topsoil stockpile. Improvements also involve construction of Natural Stabilized Channel Design items. These items include, but are not limited to, construction of the geomorphic (aka bankfull) channel, riffles, pools, log vanes, boulder vanes, and boulder drop structure. Contractor shall include company and individual’s name and experience of NSCD construction. Experience and NSCD construction activities shall be reviewed and subject to approval by HydroGeo Designs, whom designed the NSCD features. See attached for additional detailed requirements. Questions are due no later than 12:00 PM on Sept 10th. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. DBE GFE at a minimum.
