Description
The City of Elgin is inviting bids for GAC Filter Media Replacement at its Riverside Water Treatment Plant, 375 West River Road, Elgin, IL. The project will consist of removal and disposal of approximately 1,090 cu. ft. of spent GAC from each of two filters [Filters #2 and #4] at Riverside; rebuilding of Leopold model S surface agitator wash arms, installation of fine filter sand (if necessary) and virgin GAC into the same two filters as described in the Detailed Specifications. The spent granular activated carbon media will be landfilled.
