Renovation to the Existing Abilene Convention Center North Plaza, Abilene, TX

The City of Abilene Convention Center requires extensive repairs, modifications and accessibility upgrades to the North Plaza Entrance to the facility. This project consist of selective demolition of the North Plaza, demolition of all existing handrails and guardrails, demolition of all existing concrete steps identified, protection of the existing landscaping, removal of fill material, compaction of the sub-grade, installation and compaction of new limestone fill material, installation of a new concrete mud slab, installation of a mixture of sand and mortar mix leveling bed, installation of new concrete pavers, installation of new granite steps, installation of new stainless steel handrails and guardrails, installation of new concrete landscape furnishings, installation of new landscaping, modifications and additions to the existing landscape irrigation system and the installation of a new landscape lighting system. Also included are two Deduct Alternate Bids and two allowances that are required to be included with the General Contractors Base Bid.
