Miscellaneous Concrete Construction Work, Suffolk County, NY

The Successful Bidder on this Contract shall provide all materials, labor, equipment and supervision necessary to construct concrete footings, walls, slabs, curbs, aprons, steps, slab/mat foundations, and bollards at various authority facilities throughout Suffolk County as ordered by Authority Purchase Order when needs arise. All street curb, apron and sidewalk construction are to conform to the regulations (in existence at the time of the construction) of the local jurisdiction having authority for the work. It is expected that any sidewalk, curb, and apron work is to be confined to the entrances to Authority well fields and other facilities and will not involve large scale quantities. Excavation for proposed concrete construction, backfill, compaction, rough grading, excess fill removal and site cleanup. (Note that for Item No. 1 only - Various Sized Concrete Footings - excavation work is generally to be done by others in which case Contractor is only responsible for excavating last six inches to subgrade. However, in the event Item No. 31 is used (see Detailed Clauses for Measurement and Payment) Contractor will be required to excavate to a depth of 8'. All Cast-In-Place Concrete Work: Mantling and dismantling of formwork; installation of reinforcing, sleeves, conduits and any other embedded items; cast-in-place concrete consisting of footings, foundations, floor slabs, walls, curbs, aprons, slab/mat foundations, concrete patching, finishing and concrete curing. Clean up and removal of all debris from site. One-year guarantee for all work performed. This Contract will cover the period beginning January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022, with option to extend.
