Description

This electronic Request for Proposals (“eRFP”) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Pest Control to the Georgia Southern University (hereinafter, “the State Entity”) as further described in this eRFP. A. Services are to be rendered at University buildings and premises, both interior and exterior, listed on University Building List B. The University requires a pest control program that achieves satisfactory, economical pest management with minimal or negligible human health and environmental consequence. C. Management must include both short-term and long-term objectives. Short-term objectives would eliminate or reduce current unacceptable pest populations. Long-term objectives would focus on the prevention of unacceptable pest populations and reduce the amount of pesticide applied and the frequency of applications. Effective pest control integrates all pest management methods to include the following: 1. Limiting pest access to food, water, and harborage 2. Use of traps, glue strips, baiting, and other techniques to remove pests 3. Carefully controlled application of pesticides 4. Use of least hazardous pesticides
