La Crescenta East & West Reservoir Rehab, La Crescenta, CA

The work to be accomplished on the interior of the La Crescenta East & West Reservoirs (Reservoirs) includes the proper surface preparation and relining of all steel substrates, including all attachments, appurtenances, and accessories with a thin film NSF/ANSI 61 certified lining system. As part of this effort the contractor shall apply caulking to any internal interfaces or crevices (e.g. roof plate lap seams, stiffener crevices) that precludes proper coating application. The work to be accomplished includes a limited amount of internal mechanical repairs associated with corroded areas such as rafter flanges. It is anticipated that up to 200 linear feet of corroded areas will require grinding work to remove sharp edges. Any grinding above this amount may be completed on a time and materials basis in accordance with a bid line-item, if authorized by the Owner. The work to be accomplished on the exterior of the La Crescenta-East and West Reservoirs includes the spot repair of all paint defect areas, the overcoating of all surfaces using epoxy and urethane protective coatings, and caulking between the tank shell and concrete drainage swale. All questions must be submitted in writing by 5:00 p.m. on Sept 22nd. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply.
