Cedar Avenue Water Mains Replacement Grant, East Point, GA

The Scope of Work under this Contract shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, installation of new six-inch and eight-inch diameter water mains via open-cut trenching methods within the City’s Right-of-Way, the abandonment of the existing two-inch and four-inch diameter water mains within the Project area, replacement of the associated water services (with exception of the water meters), installation of fire hydrants and valves, water main flushing, disinfection and bacteriological testing, roadway pavement removal and replacement of pavement and pavement markings, temporary traffic control, providing continuous access to all driveways and buildings within the Project area, clean up, and all other miscellaneous work necessary to complete the Project. It is anticipated that at the completion of the Work, the water mains and associated appurtenances installed by the Selected Provider shall be in full accordance with the City’s plans and that all Work associated with the Project will have been accomplished in a manner that is consistent with best practices and industry standards. The Selected Provider must be able to provide evidence that the Provider has completed, within the past five (5) years, at least three (3) water main installation Projects, each having a minimum contract value of at least two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00), while performing as the Prime or Principal Contractor for the Project. In the bid documentation and made a part of the solicitation are several Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program documents. All of the terms and conditions stipulated in these documents MUST be met by a Prospective Provider in order to be given consideration for Contract award by the City. In addition, all of the forms and documentation required to be submitted under the CDBG Program must be completed and submitted to the City as required after Contract award. Bonds required.
