Description
The proposed project is located just south of the intersection of Indian Trail and U.S. Highway No. 1, in Sharpes, Florida. The project involves protective recoating of the existing pedestrian bridge together with minor electrical lighting and handrail repairs, in accordance with the plans, permits, and specifications contained in or referenced in the Contract Documents. The pedestrian bridge serves as a primary access route for local school children attending Fairglen Elementary School; therefore, time is of the essence in completing this project. The project will be coordinated so that work will take place when school is not in session, or at a time when the school has made alternate route arrangements so that the bridge can be closed temporarily. To facilitate the work, the State of Florida Department of Transportation (F.D.O.T.) issued a permit for a rotating single lane closure for each lane of U.S. Highway No. 1 as work progresses. Bonds Required. Prevailing Wages.
