Description
The scope of the work consists of: the removal of large gate valves, miscellaneous pipe fittings and appurtenances located within and adjacent to brick masonry vaults: the partial removal and abandonment of the brick masonry vaults and replacement of large gate valves with large butterfly valves, miscellaneous pipe fittings and appurtenances. The butterfly valves will be furnished by the City. This project also includes pavement restoration and some pavement milling and resurfacing as required by the City’s enhanced pavement restoration requirements. The Project includes a Base Bid and two Add Alternates. Base Bid sites are located at: Intersection of Dewey Avenue and Felix St, Intersection of McLean St and Mt. Hope Avenue, Intersection of Field St and Monroe Avenue and Intersection of Gardner Avenue and Chili Avenue. Add Alternates 1 and 2 sites are located at the intersection of Flint St and Exchange St. The Contractor will start the work within ten (10) days of receipt of the written Notice to Proceed as issued by the City Engineer. The Contractor shall complete the work within Three hundred five (305) calendar days from the date the Notice to Proceed. MBE goal is 20% and WBE goal is 10%. Bonds and prevailing wages
