Multi-Year Contract: Unsheltered Resident Encampment Hazardous Waste Cleanup & Disposal, San Francisco & Various Counties, CA

The purpose of this agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which each Contractor agrees to provide Encampment Site Waste Removal and Cleanup services to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) on an on-call, as-needed basis. Contractor shall collect, remove, transport, and legally dispose of all environmentally-regulated, biological and hazardous waste, and contaminated materials, debris, waste and other substances (collectively the "HazWaste Materials") at the sites set forth in the Service Request, and also cleanup the sites so that no HazWaste Materials remain on the site (collectively the "HazWaste Services"). The HazWaste Materials include, but are not limited to, contaminated debris, biological waste, environmentally regulated substances, and hazardous waste, including the HazWaste Materials in confined spaces. Biological waste is any material that contains or has been contaminated by a biohazardous agent (risk to human health or the environment), and it includes, but it is not limited to, syringes, needles, blood, vomit and feces. As a part of the HazWaste Services, Contractor shall furnish all labor (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) trained employees), tools, materials, supplies, equipment, incidentals, travel, and disposal services necessary for the cleanup and removal of all HazWaste Materials at the sites. The sites include, but are not limited to, the landscaped areas of the freeways, highways, structures, confined spaces and rights-of ways. Bonds required. Prevailing wages apply. DBE incentives.
