Description
This is a re-advertisement of this project. As such there will not be a second pre-bid meeting.
The deadline for submitting questions and RFI is Tuesday, October 5. The final addendum, if
needed, will be issued Thursday, October 7. Scope of work includes new construction of 8,780 LF (1.68 miles) of new greenway construction, including all associated earthwork, paving, stormwater control, a 65’ pre-engineered pedestrian bridge, (2) 20’-30’ timber boardwalks, roadway underpass, streambank stabilization, etc. Mecklenburg County Project. The Town committed $500,000 to Mecklenburg County for the construction of the Irvins Creek Greenway from Sam Newell Rd at Crown Point Elementary, eastward to Idlewild Rd. Design plans are nearly complete, with construction expecting to start in spring 2021 and be complete in summer 2022. Public involvement conducted in September is available via the link below. MWBE goal is 16% (10MBE / 6WBE). Bonds required. Bonds required.
