RE-BID: Rehabilitation of Multiple Dwellings, Smithfield NC

09/21/2021 bid opening was held on the below houses with less than three (3) bids submitted for each house (contract). The Town of Smithfield is rebidding the following project. Scope includes: rehabilitation to be performed on the following dwellings at multiple locations: 1. 800 Blount Street, 2. 802 Blount Street, 3. 812 Blount Street, 4. 714 East Street, 5. 715 East Street. These documents include a qualification statement that must be included with bid packets that confirm that the contractor has: (1) previous experience in major structural repairs on existing structures; (2) a general construction license and electrical, plumbing and HVAC work performed by an appropriately licensed contractor or sub-contractor; (3) be a licensed Lead Abatement Firm with certified/licensed staff. Contractors must also have the following levels of insurance: (1) Worker's Compensation Insurance for all employees and subcontractors, in accordance with state Worker's Compensation Laws; and (2) Comprehensive General Liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence; Bodily Injury Liability of $500,000 per occurrence; and Property Damage Liability of $500,000 per occurrence
