Bid specifications cover: furnishing and installing glass and plastic glazing buildings, annexes, etc and accomplishing other related work. Additional cost for second story exterior replacements. Additional cost for night, weekend and holidy work. Materials without installation. The furnishing and installation of glass/plastic and relate work will include: removing glass and glass fragments, putty and caulking as necessary. Removing and re-drilling moldings, as may be required, reinstalling moldings with rustproof screws. If moldings are missing, they are to be replaced with new similar moldings. The glass/plastic should be properly fitted and installed using the prescribed putty or caulking material. On wood sash, proper size points and glazing compound must be used. An installation using a silicone caulking alone will not be acceptable. On aluminum and steel sash glass/plastic may be set in silicone caulking but glazing material must be installed to provide a weather seal. Installed compound must be of good pitch and finished smooth and clean. All glass/plastic is to be left clean of smudges, fingerprints, etc. All installations are to be performed in a professional manner. All rubbish, glass fragments, etc. from both inside and outside, are to be removed from the buildings and site. Placing waste in garbege cans, custodial carts, etc will not be permitted. Contract period is for 1 year with an option to renew for 2 additional years.
