The principal features of the work to be performed and equipment to be provided for the following areas under this project are as follows: All work required to demolish, remove, and dispose of the existing retaining stone walls and trees/stumps/etc. All work required to install approximately 180 linear feet of 12-inch diameter Class 52 POJ/MJ DIP cement mortar lined pipe, fittings, and appurtenances. All work required to install new Drop Sanitary Sewer Manhole SMH-1 (Approximately 16’-1” deep) with manhole appurtenance. All work required to install new Doghouse Sanitary Sewer Manhole SMH-2 (Approximately 7’-7” deep) with manhole appurtenance + manhole bench. All work required to perform modifications to the existing Drop Sanitary Sewer Manhole SMH No. 35 – Sewer connection tie-in from SMH-1 and manhole bench modifications/etc. All work required to perform modifications to the existing Drop Sanitary Sewer Manhole SMH-39 – plugging the existing 2 – 4-inch dimeter Siphon Connections & 1 – 8-inch diameter inlet pipe from existing Sanitary Sewer Manhole SMH-39A. Existing Sanitary Sewer Manhole SMH-39 to be abandon-in-place afterthe proposed sewer main is back in operation. All work required to install sandbag barrier system with associated 48-inch diameter HDPE bypass piping/fittings and dewatering piping/sump pump system/clan fill soil material/etc. All work required to install concrete encasement for the 12-inch Ductile Iron Pipe under the stream bed. All work required to install reinforced concrete collars (4,000 PSI) – two locations (East & West Walls). All work required to install precast modular block retaining walls – two locations & crush stone/geotextile filter fabric material/Styrofoam boards/leveling pads/etc. All work required to install dumped riprap & filter blanket bacterial/etc. – streambed area. All work required to install temporary bypassing of the sewer system wherever required. All work required to install inlet protection and maintenance during construction of the contract. All work required to install turbidity curtain & maintenance during the construction of the contract. All work required to Provide temporary traffic control measures (barrels/cones/street signs/barricade lights/concrete barriers/crash cushions/etc.) All work required to install temporary and permanent replacement of pavement – Locust Ave & portion of the parking lot. All work required to restore all disturbed areas including, concrete, sidewalks, Concrete curbs, metal guide rails (removal & reinstall) and pavement markings/etc. All work required to install a temporary silt fence system/etc. All work required to tie-in between the proposed retaining wall & the existing retaining wall (using Non-Shrink Metallic Epoxy Type Grout). Site Restoration Work. All other work required to complete the above. The foregoing is a general description only and shall not be construed as a complete description of the work to be performed on this project. The undersigned hereby agrees to commence work under this Contract within five (5) calendar days from the date of a written "Notice to Proceed" from the Owner to do so and to substantially complete the work in all respects, including all parts thereof, except for the tentative list of items to be completed or corrected, warranty and permanent pavement replace (if required) within one hundred and twenty (120) consecutive calendar days from the serving of said Notice with the constraints as stipulated in the Contract Documents. All work except for warranty and permanent pavement replacement (if required) must be completed within thirty (30) consecutive calendar days thereafter. Permanent pavement replacement (if required) must be completed within sixty (60) to ninety (90) consecutive calendar days from the date of temporary pavement replacement but not to exceed the final completion date. Time of the essence of the within Contract.
