Restroom Renovation: The project is the renovation and upgrade to ADA compliance of an existing seasonal 16’ x 14’ bathroom structure with a 5’ x 16’ entry area with privacy screens. The existing wood frame structure will remain with modest alterations. Existing interior and exterior finishes, roofing, doors, plumbing and plumbing fixtures, accessories and lighting will all be upgraded, and a new maintenance closet with utility sink and hot water heater added within the existing footprint. Existing privacy screens will be replaced. Rough plumbing for a new drinking fountain with integral bottle filler will be provided. Add Alt 1: Sensor faucets in lieu of manual faucets at lavatories. Add Alt 2: Installation of new drinking fountain with integral bottle filler. Kayak Kiosk: The project is an 18’ x 19’ storage structure with an projecting roof that covers a picnic and kayak storage/seating area for an overall roof area of 21’ x 40’. Projecting framing over the seating area is supported by an LVL beam and wood column assembly. Base frames for the future installation of custom kayak storage/seating area furniture will be installed. The ground surfacing defined by landscape edging will be ADA-compliant engineered wood carpet. The storage structure is a reinforced slab on conventional footings with a partially sloped floor for mower storage. Framing throughout will be primarily 2x Douglas Fir. Openings will consist of a garage door, a man door, and a sliding barn door, in addition to screened ventilation openings integrated into east wall framing. Add Alt 3: Kayak storage/seating benches. Add Alt 4: Slatted screens mounted on kayak storage units. Add Alt 5: Table with floor panel units. Soccer Slab: The project is a 13’ x 18’ reinforced 6” slab with a thickened edge. NOTE: The plans in Exhibit 2 show the entire structure. The intent of this solicitation is to engage the Contractor to construct the Foundation Only. This project requires DCAMM Certification. Project completion date is May 15, 2022. The awarded contractor shall endeavor to meet Workforce Participation Goal Requirements under M.G.L. c. 149, § 44A(2)(G) which are currently 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities.
