Description
ALS was constructed in 1990. The 170,000 sf, 5 story building houses faculty and researchers from the College of Agricultural Science, College of Science and the research department. ALS is operating on the original, now 30 year old, Kreuter Manufacturing Company (KMD) control system. The existing system is difficult to control and maintain. Replacement parts are no longer available. The new controls replacement system has been designed by Systems West Engineering with input from building users and OSU Facilities Services staff. Additionally, the building will be connected to a new chilled water loop in approximately two years.
