Description
The project consists expanding the existing Cargo Apron at Jacksonville International Airport. The apron expansion includes the demolition of the existing asphalt pavement and electrical lighting systems, unclassified excavation, embankment, and construction of concrete and asphalt pavement. The concrete expansion is 4,800 SY and composed of 12” compacted subgrade layer, 6” porous aggregate blanket, 7” Lean Concrete Base Course, and 16” PCC surface course. The project also includes removal of existing drainage structures and installation of underdrains, an MES, a catch basin, and drainage pipe. Other work items included are pavement marking removal and application, erosion and sedimentation control and improvement of the existing haul route. 6% DEB Goal.
