Description
The City of Scottsdale Community Assistance Office (City) will make federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding available to provide emergency and non-emergency construction services and also an appliance repair and replacement services that will assist eligible families and individuals who own their homes and qualify for Emergency Repair Program and Roof Repair and Replacement Program projects. The City intends to contract with companies in each construction category, and work assignments will be rotated. In each of the construction trades of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, roofing, general home repairs and replacement services including delivery and installation, the City anticipates entering into contracts with multiple firms for each category. The contractors will be rotated as work referrals are made. General repairs are defined as low-dollar handyman work that would include: minor carpentry, window repair, drywall patching, floor installation, glass repair, etc. The Community Assistance Office (CAO) receives CDBG funds made available from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
