Description

The purpose of this Bid is to contract with a qualified Firm/Contractor to Weatherize Cactus Middle School to prevent further interior and exterior damage to the building. This project’s scope of work involves, but is not limited to, the following: Removal and replacement of all exterior sealants at control joints, expansion joints, joints at building perimeter, and joints between dissimilar materials, such as hollow metal door and window frames to block. Repairs of cracks, holes and voids in existing exterior concrete masonry unit, brick, and stucco walls, including blocks, grout joints, and cavities at the top of parapets. Application of block filler and elastomeric water repellant coating on all exterior building walls, including the inside face of parapets above roofs. Removal and replacement of select areas of exterior gypsum board soffits. Painting of exterior metals, including doors and frames and steel canopies. Fabrication and installation of tube steel downspout boots. Minor grading work at building perimeter to improve from of water away from buildings. Deadline for questions is October 20, 2021 by 12:00pm.
