Description
This work consists of removing and replacing the existing concrete bridge deck and bearings on the existing structure over Homan Creek. The existing abutments will be converted to semiintegral abutments, and the existing concrete slope will be removed and replaced with riprap. The roadway profile grade will be modified slightly with approximately 0.15 miles of US 24 resurfacing, new guardrail, and drainage improvements. General work includes the construction of a new composite concrete bridge deck on semi-integral abutments, 66 feet wide face to face of parapets, and 132'-3" feet long back to back of abutments. Additional items include pavement removal, surface removal and resurfacing of existing hot-mix asphalt pavement, inlet removal and replacement, hot-mix asphalt shoulders, aggregate shoulders, concrete curb and gutter, concrete median, riprap, guardrail, pavement marking, traffic control, and seeding as shown in the plans and as specified herein. DBE goal for this project is 7%. EEO requirements.
