Construction of Double Barrel Bullpens, Dinwiddie, VA

Dinwiddie County seeks quotes from qualified contractors for construction of double barrel bullpens as described: Scope of Work: 1. Construction of two (2) double barrel bullpens at the main baseball field of the Dinwiddie Sports Complex located at 5850 R. B. Pamplin Drive, Sutherland, VA 23885. 2. One double barrel bullpen will be constructed on the first base line outside the fence and the other will be constructed on the third base line side inside the fence, see Attachment A for site map. 3. See Attachment B for sketched layout and dimensions of bullpens. 4. Each bullpen area must be graded properly to efficiently and effectively manage drainage in all areas and to eliminate any potential areas of water accumulation/pooling. 5. Contractor shall provide a detailed list of materials that will be used to construct the mound and any inground equipment that needs to be anchored such as pitching rubbers and home plates. 6. Contractor shall provide cost of the following optional items. Optional items will be awarded based on available of funds and in the order they are listed. a. Tearing down the existing pitching mounds on the side of the first and third base lines. b. Utilize the celebrity Bermuda Grass sod that is cut from the new construction site and place it where the existing first base line mound is located inside the fence (where the old pitching mound and catcher’s mat were located). c. Construction of a pitching mound station which includes one pitching mound and one catcher’s mat. 7. The County would like all construction to be completed by December 1, 2021.
