Description
Harris County is soliciting bids for improvements at John Paul Landing Park Stormwater Detention Basin (Phas II) for Harris Count Precinct 3. Phase 2 is located on the eastern limit of North Basin Cell and runs north south adjacent to Langham Creek. The limit of disturbance is approximately 35 acres, the contractor is to breech JPL North Basin Phase 1 and JPL lake to fill Phase 2 and connect to JPL basins. Contractor is to excavate the Phase 2 detention basin, shape the islands, shelves, and deep pools. All materials is to be hauled offsite as noted on the plans and directed by HCED. Contractor is to take ownership of excavated material as noted on the plans. The contractor is to maintain a safe and stabilize access in and out of the basin area. The disturbed areas are to be stabilized as noted on the plans. The existing trail along the northern edge of the Phase 2 limits will require the installation of an urban interceptors to maintain positive drainage to the basin. Contractor to provide permanent stabilization, install topsoil and landscaping as noted on plans. Note, based on the soil conditions, contractor may be required to over excavate to install a clay liner, this is to be coordinated with the engineer and HCED. This phase will have 35 ac of disturbance and 266 ac-ft of detention volume. Questions are due no later than 12:00 PM on Oct 22nd. TECH Form 1295 required. MWBE Utilization Plan required.
