Description
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, ("Cal Poly Pomona" or "University" wishes to contract with a fully qualified and experienced contractor for HVAC Mechanical & Controls (direct digital controls (DDC) and pneumatic controls) Systems maintenance, repairs and emergency services as needed throughout the campus. Bidder shall be or have a controls subcontractor who is an authorized Distech Controls, Inc. representative and be a certified Tridium AX and Niagara 4 Integrator. The Controls Contractor must be an authorized and certified representative in good standing of Distech Controls Inc. Purchase of Distech Controls from a third party or distributor by a Contractor not certified with Distech Controls Inc. is not acceptable. "In good standing" is minimally defined as documentation from Distech Controls Inc. verifying the installing contractor's qualifications and certification as a Distech Controls System Integrator. The documentation shall be included with the submittal package. The Controls Contractor shall have on staff, trained Distech, Niagara AX, and Niagara 4 Network Integrators and have at least four (4) fully trained staff members. Contractor shall provide training class certifications of staff members, when requested. Contractor shall have a direct line of technical support from suppliers and shall employ technicians who have completed factory-authorized training. Contractor shall employ technicians to provide instruction, routine maintenance, and emergency service within 24 hours upon receipt of the request. Contractor shall employ technicians who are experienced with Distech Bacnet, Lonworks, EC-NET-AX, and EC-NET-4. The Controls Contractor shall have a service facility, staffed with qualified service personnel, capable of providing instructions and routine emergency maintenance service for networked control systems. The Controls Contractor shall have an office within 100 miles that is staffed with designers trained in integrating interoperable systems and technicians fully capable of providing instruction and routine emergency maintenance service on all system components. At the completion of work, Contractor shall provide fully documented as-builts, owners operation manuals and warranty documentations, in hard copies and electronic files formats. The Agreement will be issued for a one (1) year period commencing on the date of award, with the university reserving the right to extend the award for two (2) additional years, plus two (2) option years.
