Description

Contractor shall collect, remove, transport, and legally dispose of all environmentally-regulated, biological and hazardous waste (HazWaste), and contaminated materials, debris, waste and other substances (collectively the "HazWaste Materials") at the sites set forth in the Service Request, Attachment 3, and also cleanup the sites so that no HazWaste Materials remain on the site (collectively the "HazWaste Services"). The HazWaste Materials include, but are not limited to, contaminated debris, biological waste, environmentally regulated substances, and hazardous waste, including the HazWaste Materials in confined spaces. Biological waste is any material that contains, has been contaminated by, or may be contaminated by a biohazardous agent (risk to human health or the environment), and it includes, but it is not limited to, syringes, needles, blood, vomit, urine, and feces. As a part of the HazWaste Services, Contractor shall furnish all labor, Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) trained employees, tools, hand tools, materials, supplies (including disinfectant), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), equipment, incidentals, travel, and legal disposal services necessary for the cleanup and removal of all HazWaste Materials at the site. The site includes, but it is not limited to, the landscaped areas of the freeways, highways, structures, bridges, confined spaces, and rights-of ways. Contractor shall log, collect, bag, and label all personal property and other materials that have apparent value that are not HazWaste Materials, as described in Section 9, Contractor Responsibilities.  Term is through 11/30/24. Counties included in this bid are Alpine, Amador, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne. DBE incentives. Subcontracting allowed. Questions due 10/14/21.
