Backflow Preventers, Savannah, GA

The purpose of these specifications is to describe requirements for an annual contract for backflow preventers to be used by the City of Savannah. Backflow preventers will be used to prevent the reverse flow of water in water laterals and prevent possible polluted water from entering the potable water system. The assembly shall meet the requirements of ASSE standards and AWWA standards and must be approved by the Foundation for CrossConnection Control and Hydraulic Research at the University of Southern California. All brass material shall be “No Lead” brass and must meet NSF/ANSI-61 standards for the Safe Drinking Water Act. **This event is only open to local savannah businesses that have a current business tax certificate that was issued at least twelve (12) months prior to the issuance of the solicitation. Responses must include a copy of your business tax certificate. Failure to submit your tax certificate may result in your bid being disqualified. Responses received from non-local vendors will not be opened or read aloud. Electronic responses will not be accepted.
