Boiler Tube Replacement, Fulton, NY

The County of Oswego is soliciting bids from qualified firms for Boiler Tube Replacement for Oswego ERF. Under this Section, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials and equipment to remove and install 77 new boiler tubes each in two (2) A.B.C.O. (HRSG) boilers, as specified and shown herein. (154 total) The water tube HRSG boilers are configured as shown on the attached drawings (see Schedule A-1 & A-2). Heat recovery is from flue gas produced through the incineration of Solid Waste. Flue gas particulate deposits on the gas side of the boiler tubes and gas side structure in the form of slag. This slag may contain lead, cadmium and possibly arsenic. The Owner will clean the boiler by means of sandblasting. However, there may be residual slag in the boiler gas side. The Contractor should be prepared to provide proper PPE for his/her employees. The Owner has installed a central “breathing” air system, which may be utilized by the Contractor. Tubes to be replaced are rows 1 through 7 (7 rows total, 11 tubes per row) on the hot gas (east side) inlet side of the boiler. The HRSG boilers have removable panels on one side only (approximately 13 feet high by 8 feet wide) for easy access to the tubes. Panels will be opened by the Owner.
