Description
The work will include, but not be limited to, removal of the existing steel girder superstructure and replacement with Tappan Zee concrete bridge panels founded on integral abutments on piles. The existing abutments will be cut down but remain in place, and the proposed abutments will be built behind them. Medium stone fill will be placed in the vicinity of the new bridge abutments. There will be full‐depth pavement reconstruction extending approximately 230 feet within the limits of the project along with a pipe extension on the east side of the structure. Deadline for questions is October 15, 2021 by 4:00pm. DBE goal is 5%.
