Description

Demolition and New Construction: Design/Build project. The project will provide an approximately 224,681 total GSF (205,200 for housing and 19481 for dining) to be placed in the current the University Village Apartment (UVA parking lot. This project will provide necessary affordable housing for CSUSM students and increase first year residency (600 beds). It will also address the need for a dining commons to service the campus. The new construction housing building is expected to be no more than 7 stories with the possibility of shelling the top floor for future growth. The dining building will be located on the current UVA building site with outdoor and indoor eating options. The project delivery method will be Collaborative Design‐Build (further referred to as Design‐Build). The estimated construction value is approximately $102,934,000. Teams shall submit a SOQ to California State University San Marcos. The evaluations of the Teams will be based on the evaluation criteria set forth below, with a subsequent final selection to participate in a Request for Proposal for Design‐Build selection process.  737 calendar days duration.
