Description

 Installation of asphalt on existing dirt roads in the community of Terra to meet fire code requirements for emergency vehicle access. The affected streets in Terra, UT 84029 are; Sunset Lane, Sandy Lane, Park Street, Mountain View Street, East Center Street, Valley View Street, and First Street.  The work includes a final grade of existing soil at 2% cross slope and compaction to 96% per the 2017 edition of the APWA. Samples of the existing soil shall be taken and a modified proctor created. Pave 1.5 miles of road, 20 feet wide with 3 inches of PG 64/28 asphalt, and installing 5 culverts where the community access roads intersect with SR-199.  Questions due via email by November 5th at 4:00 pm MST.  Tooele County is requesting full general contractor services for the preparation of construction documents by a Utah licensed civil engineer, production costs, bidding, bid evaluation, survey staking by a licensed surveyor, construction administration and inspection, final inspection and project acceptance. Tooele County desires that the successful general contractor provide a full range of professional services, exclusive of soils test and special inspections, to assist it in the successful completion of the project. All work shall conform with the latest edition of the APWA per Tooele County Construction Standards. Unless noted by the county engineer, the sponsor will assume that all costs to accomplish these goals are included in the IFB. This project is HUD funded.  DBE participation and other requirements apply.
