Theater Storefront Reactivation, Fitchburg, MA

The Massachusetts State College Building Authority requests Qualification Statements from firms interested in bidding on Trade Contractor work on the above project. General Scope of Work: This project includes renovation of two (2) storefront units into shelled spaces, ready to be fit out by future tenants. In addition, the project will include a small AHU located on the roof which will provide fresh air into the spaces, as well as individual VRF systems in both units to provide additional heating/cooling control. Project duration is anticipated at three (3) months and completion in Q2 of 2022. Electrical: Disconnect any MEP equipment to be removed from space, Disconnect and drop to floor any EL equipment to be removed from space, Provide temp / construction power and lighting, Rework fire alarm system, Provide power for all new MEP equipment, Provide outlets located on walls as needed for future tenants, Permits and testing as required, and As-Builts. Fire Protection: Demo and drop to ground existing fire suppression piping/sprinklers, Revised sprinkler branch piping, Temporary upright heads to maintain coverage during construction, Permits and testing as required, and As-Builts. HVAC: Disconnect and drop mechanical equipment/materials to be removed, VRF systems in both units, AHU and associated ductwork into spaces, Air curtains at doors, Permits and testing as required, and As-Builts. Plumbing: Additional restrooms in both units, Associated plumbing fixtures, CW and HW supply lines, Water heaters as required, Drainage connection to existing, Permits and testing as required, and As-Builts. This RFQ is intended to pre-qualify interested TradeContractors for bidding on one or more Authority projects in the trades identified in Part I ofthis RFQ. Interested Trade Contractors in the categories identified in Part I are invited tosubmit a Trade Contractor Statement of Qualifications to the MSCBA.
