Description
Sealed bids are invited for the construction/renovation of the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center’s (“VBHEC”) Roof Replacement and Parapet Wall Repairs, as described herein. The project is generally described as Roof replacement, limestone re-pointing, façade cleaning, and various exterior wall and opening repairs. Existing built-up roof shall be removed down to existing steel deck and replaced with single ply membrane type roof assembly. Existing limestone copings either replaced or covered over with metal copings. Existing limestone veneer wall joints re-pointed with sealant. Façade cleaning shall use appropriate washing methods for limestone and remaining exterior materials. Renovate existing penthouse louvers, doors, EIFS openings, flashings and sealants. Once all the roof work has been completed, the Contractor must provide a full NDL 20-year roof warranty for entire building roof area. Building will be occupied during the contract period. Q&A due by 11am, 11/3/21. SBE goal 50%.
