Subcontractor Opportunities - Theater Improvements Fire and Domestic Water Line Renovation, San Jose, CA

The Project entails demolition of existing 8” fire water line to the theater, demolition of existing 3” domestic water line to the theater, demolition of existing concrete valve boxes, installation of new underground fire water service to the building. Reconnect new piping to existing fire riser in basement of building. Reconnect to existing Fire Department connection. Install new backflow preventer for fire water service. New backflow preventer shall be installed on new concrete pad and shared with domestic water BFP. Install new tamper switches on fire water backflow preventer and connect to BMS. Install new underground domestic water service to the theater. Connect new piping to existing domestic water piping in basement of building. Installation of new backflow preventer for domestic water service. Installation of new domestic water shut-off valve in new concrete valve box. Contractor must coordinate its work with a scheduled power shut-down, including ongoing day-to-day operations of an active school site. Substantial Completion of the Work shall be achieved by (100) calendar days after the date for commencement of the Work as set forth in the Notice to Proceed issued by the District. Deadline for questions is April 7, 2022 by 5:00pm. MBE goal is 8%, WBE goal is 4% and VBE goal is 1%.
