Description
The Project proposes to seismically retrofit the existing bridge on Lopez Drive over and adjacent to Lopez Lake in San Luis Obispo County. Project implementation will increase the bridge strength to prevent a sudden bridge collapse during an earthquake event at the design level severity. Project activities involve CIDH piers, a new catcher bent and retainer cable system, and bird and bat exclusionary devices. Lake conditions are variable. All anticipated project impacts are temporary; no permanent impacts will occur. The DBE Contract goal is 9%. MBE Goals for minority participation for each trade: 24.6%. WBE Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9%
