Montebello Boulevard Grade Separation Project, Irwindale, CA

Scope of services: A grade separation located on Montebello Boulevard in the City of Montebello within the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Los Angeles Subdivision at milepost 8.30 to milepost 8.92. The grade separation is between Mines Avenue to the South and Whittier Boulevard to the North. Montebello Boulevard will be lowered beneath the UPRR Railroad. The project work includes the construction of typical street features such as curb, gutter, sidewalk, roadway structural sections, landscape and irrigation, and site and private property improvements; the demolition of buildings; bridge construction including demolition and excavation for underpass bridge substructure elements, construction of CIDH piles, abutments, abutment caps, columns, column bent, steel girder bridge with concrete fascia, and earth retaining structures; construction of a pump station and storm drain improvements, modifications, and relocations; grading and preparing the site within the UPRR right-of-way and constructing shoofly tracks, drainage facilities, sewer crossing, relocation of utilities; installation of a new traffic signals, installation of street, bridge, and parking lot lighting, signing and striping, water main, and protection, modification, and/or relocation of existing dry and wet utilities.
