Description
The International Terminal at SFO is comprised of the International Terminal Building (ITB), Boarding Area A (BAA) and Boarding Area G (BAG). The International Terminal HVAC system consists of air handling units (AHUs) which are past their useful life expectancy. Replacing these components will improve smoke control compliance, reduce energy usage, and improve resilience. The base bid includes the replacement of AHU components in ITB Level 2 and 3, BAA, and BAG. The components to be replaced include variable frequency drives, fans, control valves, sensors, dampers, media filters, and actuators. Additionally, photocatalytic oxidation filtration and volatile organic compound sensors will be installed at each AHU to improve indoor air quality and improve the passenger experience. Bid Alternate 1 includes the replacement of AHU components and installation of photocatalytic oxidation filtration and volatile organic compound sensors in ITB Levels 1, 4, and 5.
