Description

Improvements for this project will generally include constructing a reinforced concrete wall supported by drilled shaft foundations and tieback ground anchors along approximately 36 feet of the eastbound shoulder of Lucas Valley Road at Mile Post 9.6. A rock buttress will be installed along the bank of Nicasio Creek to mitigate future slides. The construction will include a stream diversion, staging to maintain one lane of controlled traffic through the site at all times, and road reconstruction. Construction will take place in the daytime hours with traffic control. Construction for this project shall ONLY occur between June 15 and October 15 unless granted approval from the County. Nesting bird survey is required if work is to occur between February 15 to August 31. Coordination with the County will be required for nesting bird survey. DBE goal is 17%.
