Description

The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools and equipment for the Septic to Sewer Conversion Franklin & Hood (Project) located in the Franklin and Hood areas of Sacramento County, CA (location map shown in Drawings). The Project includes construction of the following items: Construct approximately 38,818 linear feet of public and private sanitary sewer force main (which includes 9,860 linear feet of 1.25-inch through 4-inch HDPE pipe for the Franklin community and 28,958 linear feet of 1.25-inch through 6-inch HDPE pipe for the Hood community), complete, with cleanouts, valves, and incidentals. Provide one (1) crossing of waterway by horizontal directional drilling (HDD) for the Franklin community and two (2) crossings of waterways by HDD for the Hood community. Provide one (1) freeway crossing inside casing installed by HDD for the Hood community. Provide one (1) railroad crossing inside steel casing installed by jack-and-bore (which is applicable to both the Franklin and Hood communities). Construct approximately 1,299 linear feet of 8-inch VCP sanitary sewer with six (6) polymer concrete sanitary sewer manholes (which is applicable to both the Franklin and Hood communities). Construct approximately 99 low pressure sewer (LPS) pump stations (which includes 31 LPS for the Franklin community and 68 LPS for the Hood community) on private property complete with alarm panels and connection to house plumbing and existing electrical power supply, and with abandonment of existing septic systems. Pavement restoration, restoration of landscaping and other surface improvements, mobilization, material acquisition and storage, permits, coordination, and other incidentals needed for a complete project. Class A license required.
