Description

This project consists of maintenance resurfacing and roadway repairs in Newton and Brookline on Route 9 within District 6. The resurfacing project begins in the City of Newton at station 109+50.65 and ends at Hammond Street Intersection at station 273+90.90 in the Town of Brookline. The project length is an approximate distance of 16,423 feet or 3.11 miles. The work to be done includes pavement milling and the placement of Superpave hot mix asphalt, as directed along Route 9. Other work to be done includes, reconstructing non-compliant sidewalks, updating signs and pavement markings, widening of median cut through at Route 9 & Woodcliff Road, milling and paving of Bridge no. N-12-051 (2ED) located on Route 9 over Centre St and Bridge no. N-12-052 (2EC) located on Route 9 over Hammond Pond Parkway and other miscellaneous work. All work shall be performed within, and accessed by, existing State, City or Town roadway layouts. No rights to enter upon, or occupy, private property have been acquired for this project.
