Description

The City of Miami Beach is replacing its existing 2,500-square-foot, two-story Police Marine Patrol facility at 1790 Purdy Avenue with a new, three-story facility for both police and fire-rescue Marine Patrol units. Situated between Maurice Gibb Memorial Park, and a public boat ramp and parking lot, the site is known to be contaminated and will undergo environmental remediation as part of the project and within the project limits. The contractor is responsible for performing environmental remediation, monitoring, and reporting to meet all regulatory requirements based on environmental reports and Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM) permits. Coordination with the Citys Environmental Consultant is mandatory to ensure all necessary data is submitted for final approval by Miami-Dade Countys DERM. Nine (9) designated parking spaces will be added for Police and Fire Department use. During construction, existing docks and trailer parking must remain fully operational and accessible to both City personnel and the public. The new 10,924-square-foot facility will be constructed to achieve LEED Gold Certification for sustainable construction. As an essential facility, it must meet the Florida Building Code (FBC) 2023 Risk Category IV standards.

Bonds required. Prevailing wages.
