Description

The City is requesting sealed bids from qualified Vendor(s) to supply several cartridge filter sizes for the Public Utilities Departments two (2) RO water treatment plants on an as needed basis to meet operational needs. The unit price per filter shall be fully inclusive of all costs, including packaging, handling, freight, and delivery. Separate charges or price increases related to delivery, logistics, or alternate shipping arrangements will not be accepted. 4.4 General Filter Specifications A. All filters shall maintain active National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) / American National Standards Institute (ANSI) 61 certification. B. All filters shall be constructed with 100% Food and Drug Administration (FDA) grade polypropylene material approved for potable water use. C. All filters shall be double open-ended. D. All filters shall be free of surfactants or other finishes. E. All filters shall be supplied by the same cartridge filter manufacturer for the duration of the contract, whenever reasonably available. If the manufacturer changes due to availability, discontinuation, supply chain disruption, or other valid cause, the vendor must notify the City in writing and obtain prior written approval before supplying filters from a different manufacturer. Any alternate manufacturers filters must fully meet all specifications, dimensional requirements, and certification standards stated herein. No price increase will be permitted due to a manufacturer change. F. Filters shall be manufactured in a facility that maintains documented quality control standards and production traceability through lot numbering. G. All filters shall be packaged in carboard boxes with a plastic liner to protect the filters from contamination. Each box shall contain between 12 and 30 filters. H. Boxes shall be clearly labeled with the filter part number, manufacturer, lot number and date of manufacture. I. Filters shall be bulk wrapped within the packaged box. Filters shall not be individually wrapped. J. Filters shall carry a minimum one (1) year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to unused filters stored under proper conditions and does not guarantee operational service life once installed. Service life is dependent on water quality and operating conditions.
