Annual Pesticide, Herbicide, and Weed Control Maintenance Services, Simi Valley, CA

As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for maintenance services, Annual Pesticide, Herbicide, and Weed Control Maintenance Services (Service) which consists of all tasks as set forth in the specifications, primarily herbicide applications for weed abatement and control, and including manual weed abatement, street tree pest control, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), and all appurtenant work. There are five (5) parts to the maintenance contract: 1) Part A is for roadside and right-of-way herbicide application (approximately 415,700 sq. ft./monthly); 2) Part B is for herbicide application within or near flood control facilities (approximately 153,100 sq. ft./monthly); 3) Part C is for open soil areas at the Sanitation Treatment Plant (approximately 540,000 sq. ft./quarterly); 4) Part D is for street tree pest control application (approx. 1,350 trees annually); and 5) Part E is for weed-abatement applications for road cracks (0-18 miles annually) and street-tree water wells (approximately 500 trees annually). The Service term of the Time and Materials contract will be for three (3) years when the City issues the Notice to Proceed, for a total not-to-exceed amount of $566,800, with an option to extend two (2) additional one (1) year terms, upon mutual written consent by the City Council and Contractor.
