Mow grass 3 4 in height from March 15 November 15. The frequency of mowings shall be at least one time per week and more often if needed. Grass shall be trimmed around buildings, posts and sidewalks with powered trimmers. Chemical spray shall not be used to trim around signs, fence posts, sidewalks or playground equipment. Prune shrubs one time per year during dormant season. Mulch planting beds fall and spring with 2 of double-ground hardwood mulch. Mulch playground equipment with 100cyds of certified wood safety mulch one time per year. Level ruts in safety mulch under swings and at landings weekly March 15 November 15. Excess mulch shall be placed at the Watauga County Tot Lot. Provide chemical control or hand pulling of weeds to keep mulched areas, rip-rapped areas, parking lots and bike tracks weed free. Remove leaves and debris from building roof gutters spring and fall. Maintain debris removal to keep gutters in free-flowing condition during the contract term. Remove leaves from lawns, decks, parking lots and mulched areas in the spring and fall. Blow or sweep all debris or litter from parking lots, porches and sidewalks and dispose of properly. Do not blow litter onto grass. Pick up all litter and branches less than 4 in diameter from property from lawns, parking lots and mulched areas. Trash from all properties shall be hauled off site and disposed of properly. Apply pre-emergent lawn fertilizer each spring prior to April 7. Amount of fertilizer shall be determined by manufacturers recommended application rate.
