Description

The work to be done generally consists of installing rectangular rapid flashing beacons at 2 sites: the Iron Horse Regional Trail crossing at Mayhew Way and the Contra Costa Canal Trail crossing at Cherry Lane in Walnut Creek. Work at the Mayhew Way site will also include construction of sidewalk bulb-outs on Mayhew Way, surface application of detectable warning surfaces on curb ramps, and tree trimming. Work at the Cherry Lane site will also include removal of existing in-ground flashers on Cherry Lane, surface application of detectable warning surfaces on curb ramps, and vegetation trimming. The bidder shall make a “Good Faith Effort”, and document this effort, to obtain sub-bid participation by MBE’s, WBE’s, OBE’s, SBE’s and LBE’s in accordance with the project special provisions to be eligible for award. Work to be completed in 30 working days. Questions are due prior to 12:00 PM on the Thursday before the scheduled bid opening.
