Description

The City of Los Angeles, in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation, is proposing to improve pedestrian and bicycle facilities in Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. Improvements are located primarily on, but not limited to Santa Fe Ave, Mateo St, Traction Ave, 4th St, and the connections to the 6th St Viaduct and Rail / Bus Transit. The project will provide bike lanes/bike routes, new / widened sidewalks with curb extensions, high visibility crosswalks, traffic-controlled intersections, wayfinding signage, pedestrian lighting and shade trees, among other improvements. Ultimately, the project seeks to improve mobility and safety in the area. Term 640 days. DBE 23%
